California: James Havens Named NSSA Surfer of the Week

17-year-old James Havens of Carlsbad (Dimensions Collaborative School, 12th grade) was named National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) Surfer of the Week after winning 1st place in the Juniors (17U) division at both Gold Coast Explorer Event 7 and Event 8 at Ventura Harbor. He has now won 3 Gold Coast events and 2 Southwest Explorer events in the 2025-26 season.
